Mr Burch

Cafe$$

Mr Burch must have a lady friend, judging by the bright, crocheted rugs (available for outdoor eaters on chilly morns) and dainty vintage tea cups. Brekkies include ‘burcher’ muesli with poached fruit, hollandaise-smeared runny poached eggs atop sauteed spinach, and brioche French toast with berry compote prettied-up with a dusting of icing sugar and fresh violets. Lunches might include tender lamb shanks on sweet potato mash, or the daily pot pie of, say, beef and Guinness with a side of chunky chips. Sweet afters might be a buttery melting moment or moist muffin frosted with cream cheese and passionfruit drizzle.
