Common Galaxia

Contemporary$$

There was a common gasp when Common Galaxia changed owners late last year. And a common sigh when folks learned little would change. There’s a cracking interpretation of the classic reuben: two hunks of Noisette rye jammed full of pastrami, red cabbage, caramelised onion, gruyere and pickles. A lighter option might be a salad of radish, avocado, blood orange, almonds and goat’s cheese on sourdough, with a poached egg. Seven Seeds coffee comes any way you like, even in bean form for DIYers. With friendly staff, a lovely mix of concrete and timber, plus furniture and fittings designed and made locally, this is one gorgeous west-side story.
