American (US)

Batch has nailed the 1950s American diner look, right down to the bow-ties and soda jerk hats worn by waitstaff. The menu's on-theme too, with shakes, fried chicken, banana splits and burgers. Chilli dogs and hot dogs are more funfair than fabulous and pale in comparison with the huge burgers on offer. Two-handed affairs, they're made up of seeded Brasserie Bread brioche buns, excellent beef patties or chicken fillets along with pickles, cheese, onion, and extras such as jalapenos and sour cream or blue cheese and tomato. Skip the waffles in favour of a sweet malted caramel thickshake with cherry ripe mix-ins.
