Little Deer Tracks
Vegetarian/Vegan
Some might need coaxing to venture off well-trodden paths but it’s worth making tracks to this Coburg eatery. Staff get busy creating vegetarian fare smart enough to keep a cafe in the wilds pumping with customers, particularly at weekends. Much of the menu is dude-friendly with an ethical edge - a belly-filling mushroom burger, a soul-warming lentil twist on spag bol, brekkie corn fritters with a pakora-like lightness and a must-try harissa raita. It’s worth asking one of the ubiquitous regulars for recommendations. The works of local artists cover the walls. It’s possible that they’re regulars here, too.
