With end of financial year sales (EOFY) hitting on June 30, Christmas in July is a pretty timely and aptly named tradition for bargain hunters planning on revelling in their shopping wins.

You can bag some of the best deals of the year during the EOFY sales, with retailers and online brands dropping prices left and right to help clear out old stock and make way for the new.

WHAT IS THE END OF FINANCIAL YEAR SALES?

The mega sales event marks the end of the financial year, which starts on July 1 and ends on July 30 the following year. Many online and physical stores will start to offer special discounts around June to help clear our old stock and make space for new products by the time the next financial year starts.

WHEN DO THE END OF FINANCIAL YEAR SALES END?

Unlike the Boxing Day and Black Friday sales, the EOFY season doesn’t have any official dates. But discounts typically don’t continue after June 30.
