EOFY phone deals 2025: Best early sales in Australia

Shoppers say the device is "absolutely incredible", blowing many of its rivals out of the water with its cameras, AI features and more.

If you’re looking to upgrade your smartphone without spending a fortune, the end of financial year sales are a great time to buy.

Retailers are currently slashing prices on popular devices from brands like Samsung, Apple and Google, which means you can get a great price on a new device.

This week, we're pumped to see a huge sale for one of the most popular smartphone ranges - Google Pixel - with the latest Google Pixel 9 Pro XL now $500 off ($1347, down from $1847). One shopper says it's "one of the very best" smartphone cameras on the market, while another found it "far from overhyped" and "incredibly impressive" thanks to the AI features.

One self-confessed “tech geek” says it’s a “gorgeous, powerful smartphone” with a “stunning” 6.7-inch screen and an “extremely sleek and compact” flip design that’s quickly become their latest “obsession”.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 has also been slashed to $750 off (now $2197, down from $2947). This “powerhouse” gadget has shoppers seriously “impressed” with its unique design, large display and the brand’s popular Galaxy AI features.

WHEN ARE THE END OF FINANCIAL YEAR SALES 2025?

Most end of financial year sales will kick off from 1 June, though it’s not uncommon to see deals from mid-May.

HOW LONG DO THE END OF FINANCIAL YEAR SALES LAST?

The length of each end of financial year sale will differ from retailer to retailer. Some will run their deals all throughout June, while others may wait until the final week of the month to drop their sale. Most sales typically end on 30 June.
