Pace Development Group to build apartments opposite Blackburn Primary School

More than 100 apartments specifically designed for families will be built at a prime Blackburn site. A lap pool, children’s pool, barbecue area, dining room and library are part of the plan.

The 125 apartments to be built on Whitehorse Rd opposite Blackburn Primary School are about to go on the market.

The one, two and three-bedroom apartments will be contained within two six and seven-storey towers at 160 Whitehorse Rd, Blackburn, with another two towers to include amenities for those living in the apartments and room for future dwellings.

Families are the target market for the developers, which is designed to offer an appealing, affordable alternative to buying a house in leafy Blackburn, according to Pace Development Group.

Sales and marketing director Danielle Titterton said it was responding to families’ evolving needs.

“Our goal is to take apartment living to a new level in Melbourne,” she said.

“Pace of Blackburn delivers convenient services for time-poor professionals as well as functional spaces for family entertaining and leisure, with the added benefit of being located within proximity of schools, parklands, public transport and retail.”

A 12-hour concierge will receive deliveries, with a cool room to store groceries.

Construction is expected to start late next year.

Apartment sales will start from $385,000.

The display suite will open on-site on Saturday, March 30.

The developer will also offer free cooking classes for children, wood-fired pizzas and live entertainment at the launch.
