The body of an unidentified woman has been found in the Yarra River near Warburton.
Her body was spotted by members of the public in the river near the Alpine Hotel at 11am on Monday.
Police and SES worked to retrieve the body from the water.
A Victoria police spokeswoman said the body was yet to be identified.
“Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the death,” she said.
Police remained on scene near Dammans Rd and Warburton Hwy on Monday afternoon.
