Nightlife in Forest Hill is about to get a massive boost, with an $18 million dollar dining and entertainment precinct set to open.
Forest Hill Chase’s latest precinct The Loft is bringing 11 new restaurants, an entertainment space and a unique free children’s play area to the shopping centre.
The transformation of the third floor also includes an overhaul of the centre’s old favourites — The Chase Hotel, Timezone and Zone Bowling.
OLD GEM CONVERTED INTO NEW FAVE
The new hangout space has been under the hammer since April with workers hard at work to get it ready in time for the Christmas period, with the opening scheduled for Friday, December 7.
Centre manager Stan Crinis said the redevelopment would bring Forest Hill Chase’s dining and entertainment up to the standard of other major centres.
“We know that our locals have long been looking forward to an exciting, new offering that has the same calibre of restaurants, retailers and entertainment as other metro shopping centres,” he said.
Diners will be able to pick from a wide range of cuisines in The Loft.
The new restaurants will include Northern Dumplings, Saigon Corner, Groove Train, La Petite Creperie, Route 45 Roadhouse Diner and NGHBRHD Cafe.
There will be a sushi train weaving between tables and booths at Tokyo Metro and Asia’s largest hot pot operator will make its Australian debut with restaurant Biao Biao Hot Pot in The Loft.
ENA Greek Street Food is also set for the centre, but won’t be ready for the opening.
Forest Hill Chase’s first promotional space, or ‘town square’, will feature at the centre of the restaurants, where events and live entertainment will take place.
The Chase Hotel’s refit is bringing dining out into the centre’s new restaurant zone and large windows are being installed to reveal views across to the east.
