The partner of Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is leaving the football club.
Alexandra Crow works at the Tigers as head of stakeholder engagement and remained there last season after news of her relationship with the three-time premiership coach emerged.
It became awkward for some members of staff who had been close to Hardwick’s ex-wife Danielle, with whom he shares three children.
But others at the club say she is well respected and has made a valuable contribution over several years.
Crow is heading to Sportsbet in three weeks with an opportunity to further her business career in operations.
Hardwick’s new relationship was revealed by the Herald Sun last year in January and has remained out of the public eye.
Danielle was well-liked at Punt Road and was referred to as the “second family” of Tigers captain Trent Cotchin and his wife Brooke in an Instagram post. She has since spoken of how it had been a traumatic time for her coming to terms with the end of their longstanding marriage.
Hardwick and Crow live together in the Bayside area and have set up an Instagram page documenting the renovation of their new home.
A fortnight ago Crow hit Facebook’s social community pages after losing their beloved golden retriever, Hank.
Hank was being walked by his owners last year after the couple was snapped together for the first time.
The community pages, often a favourite of nosy neighbours, came to the rescue and the Elwood community was quick to find and return Hank.
