Tigers coach Damien Hardwick has taken his relationship with his Richmond Footy Club lover to the next level, with the pair making a multimillion-dollar investment in their future.
Hardwick and his partner, Alexandra Crow, who manages Stakeholder Engagement at Richmond, have spent $2.3m on a terrace home in the upmarket suburb of Elwood.
Hardwick split from his wife Danielle last year.
His relationship with Crow, which had been speculated for some months, was confirmed in January, with the couple being snapped in March walking their dog together in matching casual attire.
Their new property, which was purchased in June, is located in one of Elwood’s premier streets and is ripe for a substantial makeover.
It is currently subdivided into two separate residences – a ground floor residence and first floor one.
It was sold with approved permits to create a classic double-storey terrace home, rich with heritage features, original fireplaces, timber floors and grand appeal.
The house is close to the Ripponlea coffee strip.
The pair’s real estate activities and new purchase was the subject of a Rumour File tip off on 3AW. In footy mad Melbourne there is always someone watching, it would seem.
Before she linked up with Hardwick, Crow had been in a relationship with Carlton Football Club executive Daniel Giese, with whom she owned a $1.2m Ascot Vale home.
Hardwick, meanwhile, appears to have divested himself of a share he owned in a property in Apollo Bay. Mrs Hardwick, according to someone familiar with the area, remains a part-owner of the Otway Ranges abode.
