Rising league star named as Lake Parramatta drowning victim

A rising rugby league star has tragically drowned during an afternoon swim at Lake Parramatta. Distraught adults and children watched on as police divers retrieved his body from the water.

A male has has been arrested after crashing his Holden Commodore into a light pole on Bennelong Road, Wentworth Point. A passenger was injured and transported to hospital by Ambulance. 930 speeding drivers a day caught over Christmas period

Police have caught almost 1000 drivers speeding every day of the high-risk holiday period, with harsh penalties and huge fines failing to deter motorists taking horrifying risks on NSW roads.

Friends and family gather on the street. Just after 2am this morning NSW Police have responded to Wollongong St Arncliffe for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival they have found a house with numerous bullet holes in it. A crime scene was established and police formed a search line to look for evidence before handing over to forensic police. A number of family and relatives gathered at scene and feature in some of the images.

Targeted shooting an ‘absolute disgrace’

Two little girls were sleeping inside a notorious Sydney family’s home when an unknown person pulled up in a luxury car and shot repeatedly at the house in the early hours of Friday. Police have released CCTV footage of a car they are looking for.

An elderly Central Coast man will face court today charged with sexual abuse offences against children as young as seven. Detectives believe the alleged abuse spanned almost 40 years.
