Gabrielle’s MAFS blast: ‘I’d rather have had a cheat’

MARRIED At First Sight’s Gab Bartlett has delivered yet another bombshell, revealing exclusively to Confidential that she would rather have been matched with the show’s “cheating” villain Dean Wells — and took aim at her TV husband Nasser Sultan.

MARRIED At First Sight’s Gabrielle Bartlett has delivered yet another bombshell, revealing exclusively to Confidential that she would rather have been matched with the show’s “cheating” villain Dean Wells than her unresponsive husband Nasser Sultan.

The 44-year-old mother-of-one shocked fans during last night’s episode of the reality show by committing to stay with Sultan to prove that he wasn’t “a monumental waste of my time”.

But she later revealed that she was jealous of Wells’ wife Tracey Jewel.

“I looked on with envy at the other couples,” says Gabrielle, of her marriage to Nasser Sultan. Picture: Channel 9

“I would have preferred to be in Tracey’s situation than mine because at least Dean participated in the relationship,” Bartlett said.

“It was uncharted territory for all of us but the basis when you walk down the aisle is someone there wanting to find love.

“I looked on with envy at the other couples, because even though some did the wrong thing, they were participating.

Seven things we learnt about marriage

“Nasser never once asked me how I was. Or asked to see a photo of my daughter.”

Rather than find love, the plus-size model believes Sultan was only there “for fun times and publicity opportunities down the track” which is why she stood up to him during the ceremony.

“I knew Nasser would have written ‘Leave’ and that was the coward’s way out. I wanted to show him we would leave on my terms,” she added.

“I’d been open-minded this whole experiment. I knew from the minute I walked down the aisle he wasn’t my type. He would not have survived a first date but I’m proud that I put that out of my head and tried. Now it was his turn.

“I remember we went to bed that night and he didn’t say a lot, except ‘Geez, you’re a strong bitch’. And I laughed.”

She also said she’s been “bamboozled” by friends and viewers wanting to know if perhaps the personal trainer might be more interested in dating men.

“It’s a question for Nasser,” she said. “However, I can confirm he’s slept with a woman and it’s me.”
