MARRIED At First Sight star Dean Wells might be the most hated person on TV but the love rat swears he never cheated on a girlfriend before going on the reality show.
Wells has received many threats from fans of the show after he betrayed his TV “wife” Tracey Jewel — starting a romance with another contestant on the show before finding the errors of his ways and jumping straight back into bed with his original partner.
The Sydneysider, who posed with Jewel for The Daily Telegraph yesterday, was adamant he had never been unfaithful despite being caught cheating on national TV.
“I haven’t cheated on anyone, until now. This is a first for me,” Wells confessed.
“No offence to Tracey, but I had known her for about a week. I would definitely had taken her back in the same situation.”
Jewel rejected any suggestion she is weak for taking her unfaithful partner back so swiftly.
“I have a lot of respect for myself,” she said. “I am just a very forgiving person.”

Wells admitted that he is still texting Davina Rankin, with whom he started an affair on the show, although this time he said he has told his partner.
“I got permission from the wife,” he said.
Jewel has been heavily criticised online for forgiving her cheating “husband”, copping insults such as “desperate” and “stupid”.
The mother-of-one said she stands by her decision and hopes her eight-year-old daughter, who has not watched the show in full, will one day understand why she chose to stay.

“When she is old enough I will have the conversation with her and I stand by everything I have done on the show,” Jewel said.
“I stand by my decisions to take Dean back.
“Grace is only eight and I certainly don’t want her to see me crying and getting angry on national television.”
Despite all the furore the couple have faced, Wells has met his prospective stepdaughter and said they have a good connection.
“She is probably more mature than me,” Wells said, laughing.
