MARRIED At First Sight’s flamboyant groom Nasser Sultan has slammed co-star Davina Rankin for not sharing the blame for her part in the cheating scandal that is rocking the reality show.
Instagram star and wannabe model Rankin was last week exposed cheating with another groom, Dean Wells. Both are “married” to other people on the Channel 9 drama. Love rat Wells has copped all the blame for the affair, leaving Rankin as the seemingly innocent victim.
But Sultan, who has taken the role of this season’s outspoken larrikin, has fired up at the busty brunette, saying she should own up to her role in the explosive saga.
“No girl pulled Davina aside and said ‘hang on a minute and apologise to the group’. That really surprised me. Dean has copped it all but Davina should be sharing the blame,” Sultan said.
“Davina ... just sat there smirking. Everyone attacked Dean, but nobody attacked Davina.”
Sultan’s TV “wife” Gabrielle Bartlett, who is a close friend of Wells’ bride Tracey Jewel, said the women of the show didn’t want to berate Davina in front of a national audience. “It was our choice not to pull up Davina in a public forum. All of us should have got up and yelled but it was my way not to rip Davina in front of a crowd,” Bartlett said.

Sultan said the messy cheating scandal had a negative effect on the entire group of newlyweds, adding that all the “shuffling around” was “not morally good”.
“Everything Dean says is an excuse. He might not respect my opinions, but don’t be an asshole saying ‘I’m the man’. Go ride your skateboard and do some bad rapping,” Sultan said.
Bartlett added: “Dean is a very complex person. We are all very complex.”
This week Sultan and Bartlett’s relationship veered dangerously towards the friend zone, sparking rumours the pair may not still be together since filming wrapped up.
“The home stay was difficult because I was finding myself not as attracted to him as I would have hoped at that stage,” Bartlett said.
“When the cameras went away, so did Nasser. I felt so lonely and isolated when we were supposed to be in this together.”
But Sultan said he just wanted to “sit on the lounge, watch TV, have a cup of tea and be comfortable”.
