A builder has faced court in Maryborough charged with carrying out work while not holding a contractor’s licence and two other charges.

A Maryborough builder facing a charge of carrying out work while not holding a contractor’s licence has appeared in court.

Michael Frederick Jan Doevendans was also facing charges of demanding or receiving a deposit greater than the specified percentage of a contract price before providing services and starting contracted services before the contract complied with requirements.

The charges were mentioned briefly before Maryborough Magistrates Court on Monday.

Magistrate John Milburn said he would adjourn the matter so Mr Doevendans could obtain legal advice.

The matter was adjourned until December 9, 2024.
