The woman accused of murdering a Biggenden baker and his 10-year-old daughter will face a six month wait before her matter is next mentioned in court.
Kristen Leslie Olsen, 26, is charged with two counts of murder relating to the deaths of Todd Mooney and his daughter Kirra, who died in a shed fire on Fenwick Rd on December 20, 2022.
She is also charged with four counts of arson and one count of stealing over another alleged incident on the same day.
No pleas have been entered.
Ms Olsen’s lawyer, Bradford Hill, appeared via telephone at Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 2025.
He said he was seeking an adjournment so the matter could proceed via a registry committal.
Mr Hill sought six to eight weeks, but Magistrate John Milburn suggested a longer adjournment.
Mr Milburn said there were no supreme court sittings scheduled in Maryborough for the remainder of 2025.
He said he was not against an adjournment into the new year.
Mr Hill said a mention in early February 2026, prior to the committal taking place, would be suitable.
The matter was adjourned until February 10, 2026.
Ms Olsen was remanded in custody.
