Moim Japanese Kitchen
Japanese$$
On a corner of Kirrawee’s quiet main street, Moim sure has the locals under its spell. Noisy chit-chat dances off the smooth, beige surfaces of this cube-shaped restaurant as couples and families tuck into heaped bowls of salted edamame, thinly sliced sashimi atop mini wooden boats, colourful sushi rolls and vast silver pots of shabu shabu. Well-priced bento boxes are popular, but vegie tempura weighs the side down with its too-heavy batter (though the scissor-wielding waiter who halves each piece for sharing is appreciated). Service can career from caring to curt, but it’s thumbs up for fresh food and great value.
