At Nhi Nuong, sisters Yen Phuong and Elizabeth Nguyen not only serve tip-top Vietnamese fare but also perform traditional ballads together most Friday to Sunday nights. Inside, the walls are busy with a mish-mash of bamboo panelling, colourful lights and big-screen TVs. Menu standouts include Vietnamese pancake, a wafer-thin crepe made with coconut milk and turmeric and stuffed with beansprouts and your choice of protein, while salt-and-pepper tofu sees custard-like silken beancurd coated in delicate, crisp batter. Rice-paper rolls are reliably tasty, too, served with sweet peanut sauce for dunking.
