President Joe Biden might be leaving the Oval Office having just clinched a ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza, but he also departs with the lowest approval rating of any president since World War II, after the late Jimmy Carter.
While the US economy is doing well by global standards, and Biden leaves with his personal reputation intact, aside from the controversial pardoning of his son, his term will be still remembered for his failure on immigration (which might have cost the Democrats the election), perceptions (perhaps unfair) of economic mismanagement and his slowing cognitive state.
