Jury mulls Sam Kerr’s fate as her lawyer calls police ‘indefensible’

London | A jury is mulling whether Matildas’ captain Sam Kerr is guilty of racially harassing a police officer whom she called “f---ing stupid and white” after her lawyer tried to turn the tables on the trial’s final day.

Ms Kerr’s barrister Grace Forbes said that the conduct of the police officers who had dealt with the soccer star following her drunken altercation with a taxi driver in the early hours of January 30, 2023, had been “utterly indefensible”.
