Paris | The Bank of England has warned that the French elections and their aftermath could spark wider market volatility and financial instability, as voters get ready to cast first-round ballots on Sunday.
The British central bank’s warning comes as the latest opinion polls put the populist National Rally (RN) party of far-right veteran Marine Le Pen and young TikTok sensation Jordan Bardella within a whisker of commanding a parliamentary majority.
