Lessons for Australia from Singapore’s border approach

Singapore | A quick visit is still a visit and while Prime Minister Scott Morrison won’t spend more than a couple of hours in Singapore on Thursday, an indication that a reciprocal travel arrangement is on the horizon could go a long way.

Singapore and Australia first began tossing around the idea of a travel bubble back in September. The prospects looked bright again a few months ago. Then community transmission crept up in Singapore, a partial lockdown began, and dreams of international travel were again shelved.
