New Delhi | For a country trying to repeat the East Asian miracle of export-led growth, India’s most intriguing product might be its home-designed, battery-operated and cyber-secure electronic voting machines.

At least 2 million have been used at about 1 million polling stations around the country during the seven phases of polling needed to collect the votes of about 900 million registered voters.
