Trying to make workplaces inclusive for all employees should be a relatively uncontroversial proposition. But this week alone, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts have been blamed for everything from the Los Angeles fires to Mark Zuckerberg not being able to bring his “masculine energy” to work.

It’s not just an issue in the United States – a backlash to DEI has been building in Australia, and organisations need to take action to respond.
