Wharfies union withdraws Qube bans after ‘secondary boycott’ claims
The wharfies union has withdrawn work bans targeting Qube trucks at ports across the country after the logistics giant accused it of engaging in an illegal secondary boycott as part of industrial action against stevedore DP World.
Qube had sought an urgent Federal Court injunction on Friday to stop the Maritime Union of Australia’s week-long refusal to load and unload its trucks from Monday, which could disrupt imports and exports from grain to whitegoods to meat products.
