Sally Patten

Westpac will on Tuesday join a handful of companies to offer paid leave to employees undergoing fertility treatment.

The Sydney-based lender is the first major bank to grant employees the leave, which covers women who wish to freeze their eggs or who are undergoing IVF and other fertility treatments. Employees will receive one week of paid leave a year, in addition to their sick leave.
