Watchdog investigates CFMEU conduct at major Brisbane project sites

The workplace watchdog is investigating claims of the CFMEU jumping fences into building sites and allegedly intimidating workers during strikes at major Queensland infrastructure projects.

A spokesman for the Fair Work Ombudsman, which has been criticised for its lack of action against the construction union, confirmed it is “making active inquiries” into incidents that allegedly occurred last week at the state government’s Centenary Bridge upgrade and Cross River Rail projects.
