Union redundancy fund war heats up

A major NSW redundancy fund has blocked its members from rolling over their money to the John Setka-backed Incolink fund in a dramatic escalation of the war between the country’s two biggest industry redundancy funds.

The Australian Construction Industry Redundancy Trust’s board has voted to change its trust deed, so the trustee will now determine which funds workers can transfer to in response to new CFMEU agreement mandates that require employers to send redundancy fund contributions to the Victorian-based Incolink.
