Union push to increase casual pay in hospitality sector

Unions want to lift casuals' overtime pay by 25 per cent in restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs but employers warn it is unaffordable and will deter the use of casuals.
United Voice will on Monday press its case for the Fair Work Commission to require employers to pay casuals their 25 per cent loading on top of their overtime penalty rates for the restaurants, hospitality and clubs awards.
