Taxpayers shouldn’t have to subsidise Medibank’s four-day week

Rather than lead the pack in extending long weekends to its staff, the health insurer should cut its operating expenses and reduce its premiums.

One of the outcomes of the pandemic and associated lockdowns is a population that emerged not really wanting to work any more, after many had sat in their home offices and reflected on the meaning of life.
