Public and Catholic school teachers’ ‘historic’ joint strike over pay

Public and Catholic school teachers in NSW have announced unprecedented joint strike action in response to “uncompetitive” salaries and staff shortages.

Up to 85,000 teachers and support staff across thousands of schools will stop work for 24 hours next Thursday, June 30, in a bid to pressure the Perrottet Government to lift its wage cap beyond 3 per cent to deal with the rising cost of living.
