Sex Discrimination Commissioner puts mining, legal, retail on notice
The mining, retail and legal industries will be targeted by the Human Rights Commission when new powers enabling it to enforce employers’ duty to actively prevent sexual harassment kick in later this year, the agency’s new boss has warned.
Standards for how big corporates act on the positive duty will also be tougher than smaller business, Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody said, given their greater resources.
