Major builder joins call for royal commission into Vic rorts claims

A senior building executive and state and federal oppositions have called for a royal commission to investigate whether Victoria’s Allan government knew about rorting, intimidation and kickbacks at major infrastructure projects as far back as 2023.

Premier Jacinta Allan on Thursday said she passed on corruption allegations about the state’s Big Build projects – which occurred when she was transport and infrastructure minister – to relevant authorities but did not follow them up.
