In a year when artificial intelligence has dominated workplace conversations – and technology firms Meta and OpenAI have paid millions of dollars to lure researchers and engineers from rivals – AI roles are becoming some of the best paid in the corporate sector, recruiters say.

Talent International’s Sydney managing director Matthew Munson says the big salaries next year are likely to be in AI as he predicts more high-tech jobs will be moved onshore.
