Few business groups have pushed harder for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices than the Australian Human Resources Institute.

At the organisation’s three-day national conference in Melbourne this week, only one session was solely dedicated to what is probably the most-important governance shift of the past decade. And that session, a presentation by a Sydney academic, competed with two separate seminars on retaining workers.
