Female chief executives and heads of business are paid an average of $158,632 less than their male counterparts, according to new figures that show the gender pay gap persists across all seniority levels.
The federal government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency included the figures in its latest annual employer census, marking the first time it had included the remuneration of highly paid executives in its yearly analysis of the national gender pay gap.
