BP dismisses defence of Hitler parody as 'semantics'

BP has argued a popular Hitler parody video likens its subjects to Nazis and that different interpretations are "semantics" that do not overrule the video's use as grounds for dismissal.

The oil company made the arguments before a Fair Work Commission full bench on Thursday in response to an appeal of a decision upholding its sacking of seven-year employee Scott Tracey for using the Downfall meme to mock senior management during enterprise bargaining.
