Australia is facing a “great jobs boom” with employers battling the stiffest competition for workers in almost half a century as the balance of power shifts to workers and drives up salaries.
Hays managing director Nick Deligiannis said Australia was facing a skills shortage at a level unmatched in the recruiters’ 46-year history, and employers were feeling the pressure to attract and retain talent.
