Universities are pushing back against a business call for fundamental reforms that would integrate higher education and vocational education into a seamless system.

Peak body Universities Australia (UA) said the tertiary education reform plan, unveiled by Business Council of Australia (BCA) chief executive Jennifer Westacott in a National Press Club speech in Canberra on Wednesday, risked eroding the quality of the tertiary education system.
