Overtime nation: Regus study finds professionals are putting in a six-day week
Nearly 40 per cent of Australian professionals are doing so much overtime they are effectively working an extra day a week, writes Rachel Nickless.
Brisbane has emerged as the overtime capital of Australia, according to new research, which found that 39 per cent of Australian professionals are doing so much overtime they effectively work at least a six-day week.
International workplace provider Regus surveyed 1194 Australian professionals and found 19 per cent of workers based in Brisbane were putting in more than 15 hours of overtime each week – almost reaching the equivalent of a seven-day working week.
