‘You smile too much’: the early career advice Danielle Wood ignored

When Productivity Commission chairwoman Danielle Wood was in the early stages of her career, she got told off for smiling too much while interviewing candidates.

“I have a certain type of personality. I used to be the one rounding up the office on a Friday night for drinks, and I was very chatty. I got told off for talking in my first year of work,” she told The Australian Financial Review Women in Leadership Awards.
