Making negronis, mowing the lawn: Skills CEOs learnt in lockdown

With Melbourne and Sydney enduring months of lockdowns last year, there was plenty of time to learn new skills. Unsurprisingly, many chief executives’ newfound abilities, such as making negronis and kimchi, mowing the lawn and dog grooming, could be mastered at home.

Others were more directly related to the shutdowns. One Melbourne-based boss learnt the art of avoiding lockdowns – a skill he hopefully won’t need in 2022. Still, it was useful. Despite lengthy shutdowns in Melbourne last year and the year before, Lark Distilling CEO Geoff Bainbridge spent just 51 days in lockdown in total.
