Copying foreign schools won’t even the score
Australian and overseas experts say education policymakers should worry less about our global ranking and more about future-proofing our kids.

By any measure, on any table - including the OECD’s - Australia is not anywhere near where we should be in global literacy rankings, nor on maths.
Countries like Finland, Singapore, China, Japan, and even the US, are saluting the judges while Aussie kids are still saddling up.
