Thomas Radon will graduate debt-free with five years of relevant work experience under his belt when he finishes his bachelor of engineering.

The 18-year-old student is one of more than 1000 people to have signed up to a new learning model at RMIT University that combines vocational and higher education, allowing students to earn while they learn.
