There is a common perception that resident owners will always be better at looking after strata properties than absentee investors.

They have to live with the results of underspending on repairs and maintenance, after all. They can tell when paint is fading or flaking, they can feel the doors that don’t fit and see rain coming in where it shouldn’t.
