Gold Coast developer’s connection to Pandora
A man who has seen the booms and busts of the Australian property cycle has emerged in the Pandora Papers.
As his collapsed companies were leaving creditors short-changed, Gold Coast developer Jim Raptis became unwittingly entangled in a campaign to shunt money into a war chest designed to keep other offshore funds confidential.
Mr Raptis was the beneficiary of an offshore superannuation fund based in Samoa, which leaked documents say also used British accountants and a UK company for investments.
