Action stations before July 1 when pension cap moves to $1.9m

Colin LewisContributorWith the general transfer balance cap (TBC) increasing by $200,000 to $1.9 million from July 1 this year, those on transition pensions or about to start an income stream face some important decisions.
The TBC limits the amount you can move into tax-free retirement phase, and it extends to death benefit income streams (DBIS) – meaning it can restrict the amount you may receive as a pension when a loved one dies.
