A new collaboration between the World Wide Fund for Nature and BCG Digital Ventures has raised $US4 million ($5.8 million), as the pair look to promote sustainable and ethical practices in the food supply chain.

At the centre of the capital raising is the OpenSC project, a scheme aimed at enhancing the transparency around food production.
