Danny Liu likes to use an analogy straight out of the Hollywood playbook to describe his remarkable AI teaching tool Cogniti to greenhorns who have no concept of what he has created.

“We talk about Cogniti as a teacher’s stunt double,” says Liu, who is a professor in the University of Sydney’s educational innovation team.
